A NEW SEASON OF LOCAL TV LIGHTS UP – SEPTEMBER 3RD ON ROGERS TV
Rogers TV’s new fall season lights up Tuesday, September 3rd on cable 20, with a lively line-up of local shows and returning favourites.
“We’re set to launch several new series catering to a wide variety of interests including cooking, fitness, drama, and even the paranormal. That’s all above and beyond our signature shows like Inside Brant and Political Roundtable,” says Greg Grimes, Director of Operations for Rogers TV. “We’re proud to move into the new season with strong local content produced by local volunteers.”
This season, the channel will unveil five new series all conceived and produced by local viewers. The Brant Advocate, a community journal, brings its unique style to Rogers TV. Starting Tuesday, September 3 at 2:00 PM & 10:30 PM, Advocate Television brings viewers the untold stories of our community with intriguing conversations with some of the most interesting people in Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations.
Marc Laferriere, who began his experience with Rogers TV in the early 90’s as a high school co-op student, serves alongside Lucas Duguid as the Community Producer and Co-Host of the show,
“We’re really excited to see our show launch on the channel this fall. There is something very empowering about seeing and hearing the stories of your own community,” says Laferriere. “Rogers TV’s team has been very supportive, and we really appreciate their guidance and enthusiasm for our project.”
Also this fall, Michael Petrella, a master trainer and coach to world champion power lifters and owner of a St. George training facility, dispels common training myths and shows viewers safe and effective ways to build strength and lean muscle mass with In the Gym with Michael Petrella, Sundays at 5:30 PM, Mondays 9:00 AM, Tuesdays 9:30 PM and Fridays at 10:30 PM. Learn the game of chess or take your game to the next level with the guidance from Chess Master Hans Jung game on Chess Check It Out, Tuesdays at 6:30 PM, Thursdays at 9 PM and Fridays at 2:00 PM.
Paranormal investigators Marc Larocque and Trevor Bishop delve into the strange and mysterious on Paranormal Around the Region, Sundays at 10:00 PM, Thursdays at 8:30 PM and Saturdays at 4:30 PM. Film maker Torin Langen brings viewers a bone chilling collection of dark tales on Writers’ Craft: The Sordid Stories of Clifford Straus Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 PM.
Among viewers’ favourites, Inside Brant, weekdays at Noon, 5:00 PM & 10:00 PM, with Ted Lehman returns to keep viewers connected to what’s happening in and around Brantford and Brant County. Beginning Tuesday, September 10 at 7:00 PM, Mary O’Grady moderates Political Roundtable with local guests debating municipal, provincial and federal politics and issues. Beginning Wednesday, September 4 LIVE at 7:00 PM, connect with Brantford Mayor Chris Friel the first Wednesday of every month on Brantford LIVE, an open-line discussion with the mayor on today’s city issues. Giovanni Petitti continues to provide the entertainment as he connects viewers looking to buy, sell or trade their new and used goods on Swap Shop Saturdays at 5:00 PM.
